OUR MISSION:

Throughout my years of playing in bands dedicated to the music emanating from the modern era renaissance, nostalgically known as the Turbulent 60s, I’m always asked “What music do you enjoy playing most?”  And without hesitation, the four bands whose names come flying off my tongue are: THE STONES THE DEAD THE BEATLES AND THE BROTHERS

EVENTS:

The Stone Dead Beatle Bros Debut is going to be BIG BIG BIG.  Don’t miss all the hoopla!!  Friday 1/26/23 at Marina 84

They’ll be fireworks calliopes and clowns” (Garcia/Hunter)

TO OUR CLIENTS:

Our commitment to you, our Clients*, is not done haphazardly or in hindsight, and is second to none.  There are very few bands that boast powerful understudies at all positions.  You will NEVER get a call from us saying, “Sorry but the drummer just got sick and we have to cancel the show (party or gig) tomorrow night.” NEVER

Meet The Band

Scott Sanders:
Drums, Vocals

Playing drums as early as 1978 with bandmate Jon Gaimon in the Unlimited Band, Scott was fortunate enough to play the Long Island circuit from 1987-1995 when original music ruled the music scene with the band, Vision.  He co-founded the Haks in 2007 and Bound To Cover in 2020 with bandmate Ron Kolber.

Born too late to see the Beatles play live Scott, none the less caught over 150 Grateful Dead shows, and over 50 combined Rolling Stones and Allman Brother shows, making his latest and most focused project to date a very natural next step.

The effects of witnessing the dynamic drumming tandems of both the Dead and the Allman Bros manifests itself in his fierce drum fills and tasty frenzies of backbeat groove bliss.  His soulful lead vocals and tricky “5ths” in the vocal harmonies have become a distinctive feature of the Stone Dead Beatle Bros. sound.

Linda Wise:
Lead Vocals

This well-learned sultry siren has had the crowd in the palm of her hand, from the first note, for the past two decades.  Linda has starred in one of the premiere Rolling Stones tribute bands in all of Florida, namely, “Roll the Stones”.  For that alone she is considered our elite and awesome Stones Authority.   Her other collaborations include membership in locally known bands such as The Wildfires, The Fourplay, and The Loose Wire Band

With a spectacularly earthy, soul-filled husky voice Linda is the spark that moves the band brightly and makes the music jump spritely.  Without Linda, this project doesn’t fulfill its potential.  Our powerhouse lead singer attributes that spunk and spirit to her favorite all time singer, the immortal Stevie Nicks.   Citing Led Zeppelin, The Allman Bros and the Beatles as her other major musical influences, there is no doubt that our Linda is truly Wise.

Ron Kolber:
Guitar and Vocals

This well-traveled native Long Islander, has played in bands from Boston to California in the 80’s and from Miami to New York City in the 90’s.  Co-founding The Haks in early 2007 he brings with him to the Stone Dead Beatle Bros over 30 years emulating the rock classics of The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers Band, The Rolling Stones and still today, cites Neil Young as one of his most major guitar influences.

Ron’s authentic familiarity with the music coupled with his awe-inspiring melodic improvisation lead guitar capability are a strong distinguishing aspect of The Stone Dead Beatle Bros. Ron also enjoys bluegrass and is proficient on mandolin and banjo.  But we love him best, playing that killer lead guitar.

Jon Gaimon:
Keyboards

In most bands it is usually the keyboardists that possess the greatest musical knowledge and there is NO exception here.  One of Jon’s predominant influences in the rock world was John Lennon who wrote, “Life is what happens to you when you’re busy making other plans” and so The Stone Dead Beatle Bros are proud to reunite and reintroduce Jon back into the music scene where he belongs, after a great hiatus some affectionately call,  “Making a career and raising a family”.

Jon learned music theory in the late 70’s and co-founded The Unlimited Band with Scott Sanders in 1978. Together they emulated the music of Santana, Bob Dylan, Alvin Lee and others coming out of the Woodstock era.  Both played the heck out of the local LI music scene.  Resharpening his chops and honing his melodic weavings, Jon is ready once again to take the show on the road *once again* and create some beautiful music.

Donald Byrd:
Bass Guitar

Earning a scholarship to the renown Berklee College of Music in Boston, Byrd (as he likes to be called) made his way as a freelance artist , playing with tremendous jazz and Motown icons of the 1970s.  The 67-year-old is too humble to allow us to name drop but let’s just say, Byrd was frequently requested by Wonder-ful artists and jammed with some others that were Miles above the rest.

After the jazz and Motown scene dried up, Byrd found himself on the road since 1983.  He sought refuge in the Gospel and remained in church bands in Philly (his hometown) and Miami for 35 more years.  The rock and jazz world was at a loss for years but we are blessed to have him aboard with us today.  His bass guitar is the backbone to the Stone Dead Beatle Bros. groove.

Joe Grillo:
Guitar

To have a monster guitarist in any band is great but to have TWO tremendous slashers sets The Stone Dead Beatle Bros apart from most Dead or Stones Tribute bands.  Settling in South Florida in 2017, Joe patiently sought the right fit and is privileged to find a rhythmic home in the Stone Dead Beatle Brothers and we are blessed to have him.

Joe’s muse was evident early, identifying his parents’ 45’s prior to being able to read.  Mesmerized by the Hammond B3, he grew up on the console organ.  Resisting the 80’s keyboard sound, Joe became a self-taught guitarist. “Getting on the bus” with The Grateful Dead in the 1980’s, Joe still has a growing passion for jam bands.  In the early 90’s, Joe co-founded Paper or Plastic in CT and played with them until international travel whisked him away in 2011.

His influences include Jerry Garcia, Dickey Betts, Warren Haynes, Carlos Santana and Jimmy Herring.  Additionally, he is passionate about bluegrass and dabbles in Banjo which is occasionally recognized in his picking style.

Our Mission…

Throughout my years of playing in bands dedicated to the music emanating from the modern era renaissance, nostalgically known as the Turbulent 60s, I’m always asked “What music do you enjoy playing most?”  And without hesitation, the four bands whose names come flying off my tongue are:

THE STONES THE DEAD THE BEATLES AND THE BROTHERS

Acknowledging herein, the tremendous contributions made by bands that engraved their names in the Annals of Rock History,  like The Who, Led Zeppelin, Yes, Chicago, Santana and Steely Dan to name a few, we can also, neither forget or slight the huge iconic footprints and fingerprints left by legends strutting their stuff in the 1950s like Bo Didley, Buddy Holly or the Grandfather of Rock and Roll, Mr. Chuck Berry or the King of Rock and Roll, Mr. Elvis Presley.

However, simply put, our ensemble pledges all of our artistic efforts as we declare OUR MISSION

To revere the original music with humility, and fill our hearts with the spirit and enlightened intent of arguably the FOUR most successful and impactful rock and roll bands in HISTORY.

We hereby pledge to play songs with soul to fill the air and music that moves us brightly from the genius minds of:

  • The Rolling Stones – The Bad Boys of Rock and Roll
  • The Grateful Dead – Creators of the “Jam Band” Genre and Psychedelic Rock
  • The Beatles – The Fab Four featuring the most prolific song writing duo of all time and
  • The Allman Bros – Creators of the “Southern Rock” genre and culture

Come with us on our trip.

WELCOME AND MEET
The Stone Dead Beatle Bros

Acknowledging the Electrons around The Stone Dead Beatle Bros Nucleus

Electrons fly around the nucleus, protecting its stability and perpetuating its very existence as they add electric valence and energetic charge.

The Stone Dead Beatle Bros hereby acknowledge our electrons for whom we are so tremendously thankful.  With their commitment, work ethic and blessing we can faithfully say,

“And the Band keeps playin’ on”

                                                      – Garcia and Hunter

  • Eric Koslow – Lead Vocals and Harmony
